About
Jacob Alejandro Meza (b. 1996, United States) is a photographer and neuroscience graduate based in Boston, Massachusetts.
His objective to destroy the myth of “left brain vs. right brain" thinking has led him to pursue a body of artistic ventures outside of academia which include theatre, design, and filmmaking. This cross-disciplinary approach emanates from his appreciation for the Big 3 in Greek philosophy: Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.
Jacob’s photographic work is devoted to environmental portraiture and landscapes with a particular interest in gritty, urban street life. Photographically, he pursues themes of solitude, social paradox, and the grandiosity of nature as he works with the elements of a scene to create his compositions. He has also been consulted for commercial work for organizations such as Hotel Hafnia and Global Brigades.
Jacob also posts videos from the field, gear reviews, and creative ideas to his YouTube channel.
